Our Ohana, Our ‘Aina

All Hawaii residents believe our land is our most precious natural resource. We live by a simple mantra taught by our parents and by their parents before them – leave our beaches, parks, wildlife refuges, and national monuments better than we found them. The Aloha Spirit embodies our commitment to protecting and preserving our ‘aina for future generations. John believes we must all work together to preserve the historical and cultural significance and the natural beauty of our islands. He vows to work closely with local and national conservation groups as well as Division of Land and Natural Resources officials to ensure they have the tools they need to maintain a delicate balance between conservation and preservation of our natural resources, and a sensible, meaningful, and efficient approach to development.
